Drinking the infamous “Chupacabra” from Madrina’s

I’ve only been living in Gainesville for about four years, but in that time it has truly become my home. I’ve been so thankful to find a tight-knit community of wonderful people all doing their part to make our city a better place, and I’ve tried to contribute in my own small ways when I can. You may have seen me before at the Bull, hosting the monthly Self Narrate Storytelling Meetup or snapping Instagram stories for Sofar Sounds Gainesville (for which I am a social media coordinator).

Now, I want to combine my love of food and drink with my love of a good true-life tale. In the coming months I hope to feature reviews of up and coming spots and interviews with the faces behind the frying pans. I will also feature some of my favorite recipes from time to time, and my top picks in other cities to help with your travel plans. I hope in time to contribute a new resource to the Gainesville foodie community!
